Dr.
Klaus Richter is a veteran in the field
of IT, multimedia and telecommunications. He has amassed
over 20 years of experience in research, consultancy
and public policy advice to multinational clients and
EU institutions. Since 1990, when he founded his own
consultancy, he focuses on international projects for
telecommunications and service industry, specialising
on business development in old and new Europe. Prior
to that, he had spent close to 10 years at Scientific
Consulting Dr. Schulte-Hillen as project director and
vice president , with responsibility for finance and
information management. Glasnost and perestroika brought
him to Russia, where during the last decade he has spent
a substantial part of his life, and has made a lot of
valuable and reliable contacts. Together with Eric Fermaud
from Lyon he has formed their “Xeops” named
consulting boutique to become a preferred address for
financial engineering and CEE projects. In addition
to his extensive experience, Klaus is a highly respected
member of numerous professional associations: Chairman
of Business Consultants International, Member of German
Public Policy Advisors, Representative in the ECIC group
of FEACO, the European Federation of Management Consulting
Associations, Certified Management Consultant according
to the rules of the ICMCI, etc. He is also much sought
after as a speaker for high-level seminary courses,
panel discussions and academic lectures. A German national,
Klaus graduated from the University of Göttingen
with a Scholarship of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen
Volkes in Applied Physics in 1981. He is a Euro polyglot
, including Russian, and is currently based in Cologne
with his wife and daughter, who started to study media
design in 2005.
